Fire Engineering for Residential Buildings

We have been involved in fire engineering and developing fire safety solutions for 38 residential apartment and mixed use projects over the last 3 years. This includes a 41 storey residential tower on City Road in London and the £500m One Hyde Park with four residential towers, ground floor retail and basement car park.

Being the lead fire engineer on one of the largest and most prestigious retail and residential schemes in the UK has led us to develop a flexible approach to our involvement. With so many sub-contractors now involved on large schemes keeping track of their requirements and what changes they make is a difficult process. By maintaining a proactive approach in dealing with the design team while keeping in close contact with the main contractor we were able to successfully support the project throughout the design, construction and operation process.

In addition we worked on a number of high rise residential tower blocks for Dandara in Jersey as part of the water front development in St Helier. All these projects resulted in extremely positive feedback from our clients despite tight budgetary controls and challenging scheduling.

Projects vary in size from relatively small apartment blocks through to conceptual work on large schemes encompassing many hectares of land and many different types of buildings such as the Olympic Site and Napier Park near Luton.
