THE JOB: Summer Placement

THE ROLE

The role will primarily consist of supporting our existing fire engineering team on various projects and shadowing them on site visits while running internally funded research projects. It will be an exciting, diverse and hands on role with opportunities to get involved with a wide variety of projects. For instance tasks may include developing CFD, structural or evacuation models, reviewing plans, brainstorming solutions, attending client meetings, drafting sections of reports and spending time working through particular engineering issues.

You will be supported by some of the foremost fire safety professionals in the industry and encouraged to develop as broad a knowledge base as possible. Summer Placements are an opportunity to get to know each other and we have an excellent track record of offering our full time positions after graduation with sponsorship to complete further studies. Some of the projects we have been involved with include:

  • The 2012 Olympic Park Masterplan

  • One Hyde Park

  • The Royal Wharf development 

  • 4 Pancras Square

 

THE CANDIDATE

The role would suit a proactive and flexible individual with good interpersonal skills and an ability to operate within a team Good IT skills, a can do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
