THE JOB: Fire Risk Assessor


In sustaining our ambitions for expansion and supporting our growing project base, we are looking for flexible hours experienced fire risk assessors across the UK.

The role will involve working on a variety of different projects as part of team and individually, and appointments will be interesting and varied. As well as general fire risk assessment, tasks may include research and testing, on site advisory work, surveying, drafting fire safety policy and guidance and some overseas work.

You will be supported by some of the best fire safety professionals in the industry with a wide range of expertise in most areas of fire safety so it will be highly unlikely you will ever come across an issue we cannot provide a UK expert on. Three of our current team are ex-MOD and two ex-MOD fire service.

We have recently invested in developing our own software so you will be provided with state of the art technology to help your assessment work and we will provide access to all available supporting documentation. 


For experienced fire risk assessors we would be looking for you to have a solid background in fire safety and some level of involvement or recognition with a professional body. The candidate would ideally have a minimum 2 years’ experience working in a fire risk assessment/fire safety role and have a recognised fire safety qualification or strong experience in fire safety fields.

For all candidates we would expect you to be enthusiastic, quick to learn and confident with an eye for detail. This is an important role we undertake and demands a high level of maturity and professionalism, plus the ability to deal with clients in a friendly and supportive, but sometimes firm manner. Good interpersonal and communication skills, plus organisational abilities are therefore essential.

  • The role attracts an excellent salary dependent on experience with generous holiday entitlement and is based in our Bicester office but may involve some overseas travel if desired. Additionally we offer:
