THE JOB: Principal Fire Engineer / Team Leader


Due to the continued success of our fire safety consultancy and following recent investment we are looking to recruit a full time Principal Fire Engineer/Team Leader for both our Bicester and London office. This is an exciting opportunity to take an influential role in one of the UK’s leading fire safety consultancies as we enter a new era of expansion.

The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide leadership and technical support to a team of approximately 5 Fire Engineers of varying capability, from Graduate to Senior. You will be responsible for overseeing their development, day to day team management and the financial performance of your team. Your team will be involved in projects based in the UK or overseas and there will be an expectation of fee earning for the role.

The next steps from this role are Associate/Director level so this is a great opportunity.

You will be supported by one of the best fire safety teams in the business with a full focus on fire safety across the organisation and a dedication to unbiased, expert advice, even if that means undertaking research and testing funded internally to support our approach.

The principle responsibilities of the role revolve around staff and client management, and overseeing project delivery in a commercial environment. As such we are looking for an individual with a track record of successful application of these key skills.


Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years industry experience and be Chartered.


Other key areas are an excellent knowledge of the fire safety sector, those individuals in it, and relevant legislation and guidance. The successful candidate will have a good track record of projects across multiple sectors, have good people and project management skills and have a positive approach.


An excellent salary is available but will depend on experience. In addition the role comes with a workplace pension, excellent holiday entitlement, a great working environment and you will be part of our discretionary profit share bonus scheme.
